Packerland Transport Salutes Safe Drivers

Packerland Transport Inc honored several drivers at its annual company driver safety awards banquet.

Milton Schwahn of Reedsville WI was recognized for accumulating more than three million safe miles since he started working for Packerland in 1973. He was presented with a plaque from the National Safety Council, a $5,000 award, and a special trophy from Packerland. Tracy Bonnin of Green Bay WI has accumulated more than one million safe miles since starting with Packerland in 1988. He was presented with a plaque from the National Safety Council and a $1,500 award.

These drivers received recognition from the National Safety Council for achieving more than 20 years of safe driving: Jerome Fronek, Seymour WI, 28 years; Wayne Meyer, Whitelaw WI, 28 years; Robert Styczynski, Pulaski WI, 27 years; and Larry Nohr, Bonduel WI, 26 years.

Packerland added three more drivers to its list of owner-operators who have achieved at least one million safe miles since Jan 1, 1990. Gary Hiatt of Cedar Park TX has accumulated 1,001,761 safe miles since Jan 10, 1994. Dennis Peterson of Antigo WI has reached 1,047,979 safe miles since April 1, 1987. Charles Schuh of Coleman WI has accumulated 1,010,788 miles since Jan 1, 1990. The company also saluted Jack and Mary Norton, Knapp WI, for accumulating more than two million safe miles (2,076,772) as a team since Jan 1, 1990.
