US Foodservice will purchase Savage Foods

Chesterfield MO-based Savage Foods, a family-owned meat processor, will be acquired by US Foodservice. The amount of this transaction was undisclosed. Established in 1955, Savage distributes to restaurants, hospitality and lodging clients, and other foodservice facilities.

US Foodservice will make Savage part of its Stock Yards specialty meat business, and Paul Savage Jr will stay president of the newly acquired firm.

These expansions include distribution centers in Dallas TX, Salem MO, Fort Mill and Columbia SC, Greensburg PA, Raleigh NC, Las Vegas NV, Cleveland OH, Bismarck ND, Tampa FL, Manassas VA, and La Mirada and Corona CA.
