Certco Inc has become the ninth member of ROFDA (Retailer Owned Food Distributors & Associates) selecting ReposiTrak to manage its food safety-related risk.
“The Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) regulations now require us to manage and store literally thousands of vendor documents,” said Randall Simon, chief executive officer of Certco. “We chose ReposiTrak to automate our document management efforts and especially liked the dashboards and alerts for missing, inaccurate, or expired documents that will only engage our staff on an exception basis as we move forward.”
Powered by Park City Group (NASDAQ:PCYG) technology, the ReposiTrak platform helps manage regulatory, financial, and brand risk associated with issues of safety in the global food, pharmaceutical, and dietary supply chains. The platform consists of two systems: Compliance Management, which not only receives, stores, and shares documentation, but also manages compliance through dashboards and alerts for missing or expired documents; and Track & Trace, which quickly identifies product ingredients and their supply chain path in case of a product recall. It can reduce risk in the supply chain by identifying backward-chaining sources and forward-chaining recipients of products in near real time.
Certco has built a business serving about 200 independent grocers in Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa, and Illinois. The food distribution cooperative offers an inventory of more than 57,000 items, including frozen foods, meat products, produce, and general merchandise.
