ECT certified as Woman Business Enterprise

East Coast Transport LLC (ECT), a third-party logistics company, has announced its certification by the National Women Business Owners Corporation (NWBOC) as a Woman Business Enterprise (WBE).

The goal of the WBE certification program is to increase the ability of women business owners to compete for contracts at a national level.

“NWBOC is known for its world-class standard of certification of women-owned businesses across the United States,” said Tina Latta, owner and managing member of ECT. “We are proud to be certified in accordance with the rigorous, multi-faceted business application and review process.

“ECT’s WBE certification benefits our clients by helping them achieve their diversity initiatives and gives the marketplace a professional services partner with a certification that is nationally accepted by hundreds of major corporations and a select group of government entities,” she said. “This program will enable us to develop relationships with larger companies and create opportunities for future partnerships.”

NWBOC’s national standard of certification is designed to confirm the business is at least 51% owned, operated, and controlled by a woman or women. By including women-owned businesses among their vendors, corporations and government agencies demonstrate commitment to fostering diversity and continued development of their supplier diversity programs.

ECT, based in Paulsboro NJ, serves businesses across the United States and Canada. For more details, call 856-423-6200.
