Klinge Corporation announces production staff increase

Klinge Corporation, the York PA-based manufacturer of transport refrigeration, freezing, and power generation equipment, announced plans to increase production staff after significant business growth.

“We plan to expand production workforce by nearly 40% to accommodate an increase in sales,” said Allan Klinge, vice-president of Klinge Corp.

The company has seen growth in military and commercial sales since the start of 2013. The Swedish Defense Force recently purchased an additional 50 military refrigerated containers, after an initial order for 60 units. This equipment is designed and qualified to numerous military standards and features a special hook frame container design.

On the commercial side, Klinge Corp has also seen marked demand for its explosion-proof refrigerated containers for the offshore industry. These refrigerated containers are built to the European Union’s challenging ATEX Directive, which contains safety regulations for equipment used in potentially explosive atmospheres such as those experienced on oil rigs and oil tankers.

“The additional staff will not only support our current demand but will better position the company to deploy more rapidly into expanding business markets,” said Klinge.

Founded as a spin-off of the Transport Refrigeration Equipment department of York International, Klinge Corp has been producing refrigeration equipment at its manufacturing facilities and headquarters in York for 29 years.
