Great Dane is showcasing a variety of customizable trailers, truck bodies and innovations at the inaugural North American Commercial Vehicle Show (NACV Show). The event is being held September 25-28 at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta, and the theme of Great Dane’s display at booth #3864 is “Driven by Innovation.”
Among the items on display at Great Dane’s booth are:
•A 53-foot Everest single-temp refrigerated trailer featuring Great Dane’s patented ThermoGuard liner enhanced with Microban broad-spectrum antimicrobial protection that helps fight bacteria growth, stains and odors for the entire life of the trailer. This reefer also features Great Dane’s new FleetPulse telematics system, which provides basic pre-trip inspection checks, in-route maintenance alerts and preventative maintenance schedule notifications to drivers and fleet managers while on the road.
•A 53-ft Champion composite plate dry van featuring a new, lighter-weight design and FleetPulse telematics system. This trailer also includes several hot-dipped galvanized (HDG) options for corrosion resistance, including the rear frame and RIG30 rear impact guard. Other features on this versatile trailer include an integral HD extruded aluminum high base rail, Strehl TrailerBlade aerodynamic side skirt, Hendrickson MAXX 22T air disc brakes and TIREMAAX PRO automatic tire inflation systems, and Accuride Accu-Lite steel wheels with Accu-Shield easy-cleaning finish.
•A 24'-6" Alpine S-Series refrigerated truck body featuring Great Dane’s patented ThermoGuard liner enhanced with Microban broad-spectrum antimicrobial protection that helps fight bacteria growth, stains and odors for the entire life of the truck body. Great Dane also partnered with lightweight metals engineers from Arconic to develop a prototype lightweight, aluminum rear frame design for the Alpine. This frame provides a 45% weight savings over the former stainless steel design.
•A 26’-6” Sahara S-Series dry freight truck body featuring Great Dane’s innovative body tie-down system. This sheet and post truck body has 0.040" aluminum side sheets with steel Z-posts on 16" centers, a 0.24" composite plate front wall with galvanized steel skins, extruded aluminum radius corners, and three rows of recessed A-track logistic tracks.
•A 10'-5" Johnson R-Series fiberglass composite refrigerated truck body featuring six automotive style doors with keyless entry and six interior and exterior LED strip lights above each door header that are illuminated with the keyless entry. This truck body also features ArcticTherm seamless fiberglass interior lining, recessed exterior LED DOT clearance and cluster lights and a 4" stainless steel tubular bumper.
