Jungheinrich offers moving-mast reach trucks

Mitsubishi Caterpillar Forklift America Inc (MCFA) has introduced the new Jungheinrich ETV/ETM 214/216 series of sit-down moving-mast reach trucks.

With increased maximum lift heights, improved operator comfort, and Jungheinrich’s fourth-generation AC technology, the ETV/ETM 2 series is ideal for both narrow aisle and high-rack applications that require rapid maneuverability in confined work areas.

A key benefit of the ETV/ETM 2 Series is that operators remain seated while driving the truck. This allows for enhanced comfort especially in applications where the operator remains on the truck for extended periods of time.

Features of the ETV/ETM 214/216 include:

•Performance—Increased maximum lift heights (up to 35 feet) and rated capacities (more than 27 feet) allow operators to perform efficiently in more difficult high-rack applications. The Curve Control feature, which provides automatic speed reduction during cornering, provides enhanced security for both product and operator, especially in confined areas.

•Energy efficiency—Equipped with Jungheinrich’s fourth-generation AC technology for drive, lift, and steering motors, the reach truck can operate up to two shifts on one battery charge in many applications. Optional regenerative lowering also can provide longer run times on one battery charge, especially in high-lift applications.

•Enhanced operator comfort—The reach truck series has a spacious operator compartment and wider armrest, which allows for various operators to comfortably drive the lift truck. An ergonomically positioned cup holder and clipboard slot are provided.

•Improved operator visibility—The mast design allows for enhanced visibility through and around the mast.

The Class 2 reach trucks can also be equipped with various options to improve performance, including the Drive Plus and Lift Plus options, which increase drive speeds by nearly 2 mph and loaded lift speeds by more than 30 fpm.

Other options include the lift control option that provides increased tilt and reach speeds depending on specific lift heights and load weights. An operation control option provides a warning sound and an icon that indicates when the operator has reached maximum capacity at a particular lift height. The reach truck can also be customized with LED light options, including choice of plastic lens, multiple mounting positions, and the option to automatically illuminate lights depending on the direction the reach truck is traveling.
