Fleets Mark J Genereaux has been appointed executive vice-president and chief operating officer of Mark VII Transportation Co Inc. He was formerly senior vice-president of Mark VII Worldwide Logistics Inc, a subsidiary in Dallas TX. Sandra G Painter, formerly vice-president-operations for Mark VII, has been selected for the newly created position of vice-president-agency support services.

England Logistics has appointed Mike D Cafarelli account manager to work with customer Anchor Foods. He will manage England Logistics' dedicated contract carriage and traffic management for Anchor's Appleton WI and Pecos TX operations. Previously he worked in the Operations Department of C R England in Salt Lake City UT.

AmeriCold Logistics has hired Steve Epstein as senior vice-president of strategic planning. Most recently, he consulted for Perrier Group of America.

Atlas Cold Storage has named Glen Murphy sales manager-Logistics Division. Murphy will help develop Ontario, Quebec, and North American LTL and TL markets.

Lionel G Dodd has resigned as president, chief executive officer, and director of Versacold Corp to pursue other interests. Sam Gudewill, chairman of the board, will serve as CEO until a new president and CEO is appointed.

Tom Walther, director of trailer sales at Transamerica Leasing, will direct a new service to help operators plan disposal of their trailer assets. He will report directly to Andrew Atkins, vice-president of Transamerica's Dedicated Equipment Resale division.

CS Integrated LLC (CSI) has appointed Cheryl A Kent vice-president-transportation, Logistics Services Group. She will be based at corporate headquarters in Liberty Corner NJ.

Daniel Graham has joined First Fleet Corp as vice-president-business development. A 28-year industry veteran, Graham spent the past 12 years as vice-president of sales/transportation services in Ryder Systems' Integrated Logistics division.

APL Logistics, an Oakland CA-based provider of global supply-chain services, has appointed Marianne McDonald, former director of worldwide logistics for apparel maker and marketer Liz Claiborne Inc, as vice-president of retail marketing and sales.

Associations Grady Rosier, president and chief executive officer of Temple TX-based McLane Co Inc, was elected first vice-chairman of the National Association of Wholesaler-Distributors.

The Allied Committee for the Trucking Industry (ACT I) has announced its new president: Frank Stevens, Hendrickson vice-president of aftermarket development and corporate marketing. Stevens formerly was ACT I's vice-president, and will serve a one-year term, succeeding outgoing president Frank Sheehan of Dana Corp.

Tony Molla has joined the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) as vice-president of industry affairs based at corporate headquarters in Herndon VA. Molla previously was editorial director of Motor Age Magazine and Automotive Body Repair News.

Suppliers Hino Diesel Trucks (USA) Inc has appointed Clint Harklerode as district sales manager of the Northwest district. Hino also appointed Steve Roswold service manager, at company headquarters.

HighwayMaster Communications Inc has appointed David Bagley vice-president of network operations, Bobby Lambert vice-president of information technology, and Ken Vandagriff vice-president of customer operations.

Jack Mountz, former senior account manager with Advanced Handling Systems, has joined Ancra International LLC's new Material Handling Systems Division as executive account manager.

Ray Mabrey has been promoted to plant manager of TODCO's swing-door operation in Upper Sandusky OH. Mabrey most recently served as manager of aftermarket parts and swing-door sales. Bob Berry is the new manager of customer service. He most recently was plant manager of the Marion OH facility. Ken McMillin, who managed TODCO's swing-door facility for three years, has been named plant manager for the Marion plant.

Mary Yohner has been named supervisor of Morgan Corp Parts and Service Division's Technical Service and Information Center.

Belton MO-based ROM Corp has named Kenny Eaton as California and Nevada territory manager. Eaton, who will be based in Orange County, California, most recently served with Suburban Propane.

Mitsubishi Fuso Truck of America Inc (MFTA) has promoted John Mackey to director of fleet sales. He previously served as MFTA district sales manager Central Region since 1996.

Kevin Sullivan has been named director of marketing at Bloomfield CT-based Prophesy Transportation Software. He spent the past five years as director of marketing for another software company.

Sam Ferrise has been named president of Bandag Inc's distribution subsidiary, Tire Distribution Systems Inc (TDS). Ferrise, who had served as chief operating officer of Bandag since 1998, replaces James (J J) Seiter, who is retiring after serving as TDS president since 1997.

Gunite Corp has appointed Steve Judge district sales manager for fleet line products in the East Central region. He replaces Jerry Johnson, who held this position with Gunite for the past 29 years.

Alcoa Wheel Products International has promoted Laurie M Simpson to manager-product engineering, wheel products. She has served since 1998 as Alcoa staff product engineer.

Horton Europe has appointed Frans DeBethune as OEM sales and applications engineer.
