Tree of Life selects XATA OpCenter system

XATA Corp, provider of mobile systems to the transportation industry, has added Tree of Life Inc to its list of private fleet customers. Tree of Life, a grocery distributor based in St Augustine FL, purchased XATA's complete OpCenter system — including fleet management applications, integrated global positioning (GPS), and touch-screen driver displays — to manage its fleet.

Tree of Life purchased the system to replace older, obsolete equipment bought from another fleet management provider. It plans to use XATA throughout its entire 350-truck fleet and at all 13 regional locations. Implementation is already underway, and the company hopes to complete its rollout by first-quarter 2003.
