C.H. Robinson's successful CFO leaving the company

Andrew Clarke is expected to depart his position as chief financial officer with C.H. Robinson at the end of March, the company said.

A formal search for his successor is underway, with C.H. Robinson saying it's reviewing internal and external candidates.

“Over the last four years, Andy played a key role as part of our executive leadership team as we increased our total revenues by over $3 billion and expanded our global geographic and service line footprint,” said John Wiehoff, chairman and chief executive officer. “Andy has also built a highly competent finance organization during his tenure as CFO.

"On behalf of the Board of Directors, I would like to thank Andy for his many contributions to C.H. Robinson and wish him continued future success.”

Clarke assume the role of CFO for C.H. Robinson in June 2015. Previously, he served as president and CEO of transportation provider Panther Expedited Services from 2006 to 2013.

“I appreciate having had the opportunity to work at C.H. Robinson," Clarke said. "I am proud to have been a member of the team that created significant value for customers, carriers, employees and shareholders, including the return of nearly $2 billion of capital over the last four years, and wish the company and its employees continued success in the future.”

In another recent move, 20-year company veteran Robert Biesterfeld, the chief operating officer, was selected as the successor to retiring CEO John Wiehoff. Biesterfeld is expected to take the helm in May.
