Michelin Advantage Program continues its steady growth

The Michelin Advantage Program, which offers members consistent pricing and services, is growing steadily as more small fleets and owner-operators join.

Memberships were up nearly 60% for the first half of 2011 compared with the same period in 2010, due in large part to opening the program to owner-operators in March 2011.

Fritz Mueller, small-fleet business segment manager at Michelin Americas Truck Tires, said, “The Michelin Advantage Program is available to all fleets under 100 trucks, including the owner-operator ‘one-truck fleet,’ to gain an advantage and have the ability to control their costs, save time, protect their equipment investment, and improve their safety.”

The program offers the same pricing on both Michelin tires and retreads at home or on the road. Purchases can be made with any Visa, MasterCard, or American Express credit card.

Program members have access to Michelin ONCall emergency road service with no dispatch fee. Using the anytime, any-day service by calling 1-800-TIRE-911, customers can get their trucks back on the road quickly. Members also receive access to the Michelin Commercial Service Network, which provides service from network dealers with trained technicians, professional equipment, and casing management — all ensured by certification and audit standards.

The Michelin Advantage Program also supplies members with access to resources on the program’s website as well as training information and maintenance tips and techniques. Regular e-newsletters offer product updates and promotions, while quarterly webcasts provide tips to members on maintaining safe truck operations.
